Magic Snowflake technique

This is another technique from Splitcoast It is similar to the polished stone technique we did in class a couple of months ago so all you ladies that bought your reinkers and glossy cardstock dust it off and try out this technique (dont forget the rubber gloves). The only difference with this technique is that you stamp an image with versamark first, apply some clear embossing powder and heat it. Then you apply your reinkers on a cotton ball with some rubbing alcohol ( I saw on someone's blog that this is the only time you should mix alcohol and cardmaking together - I always thought a little glass of bubbly would help the creativity and get into the feeling of Christmas spirit). At this stage you are probably thinking you have made a mistake as all the image has disappeared but this is why they call it magic, you just reheat it with your heat gun and out pops the image again.
Stamps:  Snow Swirled
Card: Chocolate Chip Very Vanilla White Glossy card
DSP: Holiday Treasures
Accessories: Choc Chip and Always Artichoke reinkers Rhinestone Brads (you have to have some bling on a card) Ribbon SU (retired)

  1. Sue - I so love visiting your blog, you are always trying new techniques. This one looks like fun. Love a bit of magic. (The bubbly is sounding good too!) Cheers, Sue
