Thoughts and Prayers

Whilst I had this stamp set out doing the Mojo Monday challenge I thought I would have a little play with the stamp on the other side (the stamps in this set are double mounted).

I just had to add a little bling from the Pretties kit and some Crystal Effects on the flowers.

A very special friend died recently and I made these condolence cards, I couldn't decide which card I preferred. The first card is white embossing on black card and I then layered the card with white card and then black card. On the next layer the tree was stamped with black ink as the background for the card and then I added ribbon and layered this on black card. Fortunately my friend is a Collingwood supporter with all this black and white, so when she saw it the first then she said was "Up the Pies!"




This card I embossed white and silver trees onto Stampin Up silver metallic card and then layered the card with white and black card, using silver metallic cardstock for the actual card. The embossing doesn't photograph very well, but this stamp set is perfect for embossing and is very effective.

Well I have been missing in action for a couple of weeks but I am back now, hoping to post lots of lovely cards. I recently got the Thoughts and Prayers Set and it is fast becoming one of my favourites, there are lots of variations you can use for this set.

This first card I embossed in Black then embossed in White and it looks very effective in real life I don't think the embossing shows up quite so well in the picture. The combination of Kiwi Kiss and Black is very effective.

I couldn't make a card without using glitter and the NEW Fine Supernova Glitter was just perfect. I find the glitter cards never photograph that well but it is lovely and glittery in real life. I stamped with Versamark then used Heat and Stick Powder and then used them used the Chocolate, then the Orange and then the Olive Glitter.

The other stamp in this set is perfect for using with your marker pens, I stamped with Old Olive and then used the Cameo Coral Marker. I used the Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds on each of the flowers. Never let a chance go by to use the Dazzling Diamonds. The Cameo Coral Card stock looks great with the Pink Flamingo DSP I used in the background.

The next card I embossed in Black (we need some brown embossing powder in Stampin Up I think) I masked an oval around the tree and sponged with Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip. The background DSP is Windsor Knot and I have finished it off with som co-ordinating Brad. Just a nice and simple card that could be used for lots of different occasions.

I had to have another card with some of the Supernova Glitter this time I used the Aqua colour and you can just pick up the glitter in the photos. The rest of the card is very simple just Bashful Blue and Pacific Point Card.
